The opening ceremony of the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the Hongqiao International Economic Forum was held in Shanghai on November 5. Sinochem Holdings and its five overseas subsidiaries attended the 8th CIIE, showing their expertise in agricultural technology, advanced materials and equipment, animal nutrition, and environmentally friendly tyres. With many technologies and comprehensive solution making their debut at the event, they fully demonstrated their global innovation strength and industry value, while exploring new opportunities and creating a shared vision for win-win growth with their partners.

Syngenta Group

As a global leader in agricultural technology, Syngenta Group showcased its expertise and capabilities in driving scientific and technological breakthroughs in areas such as food safety, increasing crop yields per unit of farmland, and sustainable development of green agriculture, under the theme “Smart Agriculture, Cultivating the Future.”

Highlight 1: Groundbreaking original technologies

Syngenta Group showcased four influential green agricultural technologies with global impact. The innovations — including ADEPIDYN® and TYMIRIUM® technologies, Meilinmei phosphate fertilizer, and Agrisure® trait technology — offer new and effective solutions for stabilizing staple crop production and reducing losses, enhancing quality and efficiency, and promoting sustainable agricultural development.

Highlight 2: AI empowers agriculture

At the 8th CIIE, Syngenta Group unveiled, for the first time, its AI-empowered innovations across the whole industrial chain, spanning breeding R&D to field management. Key highlights included the GASEL intelligent breeding system, the iMAP comprehensive agricultural planting large model, and robotic dogs capable of autonomous recognition and field inspection, offering a broad vision of AI-enabled agriculture.

Highlight 3: Integrated green planting model

Focusing on rice, a staple crop, Syngenta Group showcased multiple varieties at the forefront of global rice breeding innovation, along with comprehensive solutions to biodiversity protection and methane emission reduction in rice cultivation. The company also introduced two new rice seed varieties: “Gui Liang You 6177” and “Xiang He You Xisimiao.”

Adisseo

As a global leader in animal nutrition, Adisseo participated in this year’s CIIE under the theme “Leading Data-Driven Innovation in Animal Nutrition.” The company demonstrated its commitment to supplying high-quality food for mankind through economically viable and sustainable approaches.

Highlight 1: Feed ingredient testing and evaluation

Adisseo unveiled MycoMan, its newly launched, self-developed one-stop platform for mycotoxin risk management, offering solutions that cover the entire value chain. In the feed processing stage, Adisseo presented its near infrared spectrum network analysis platform, powered by the PNE digital raw-material platform and the NESTOR precision nutrition analysis system, to help producers make more efficient use of feed energy.

Highlight 2: Empowering livestock production

Adisseo has set up an animal feeding behavior observation lab and developed a raw material palatability index to help restore animals’ health resilience and reduce mortality. At the finished product stage, the company uses advanced, visualized data networks that track parameters like amino acid balance and meat and egg quality, improving the quality of meat, eggs, and dairy products.

Elkem and KraussMaffei

As a global provider of advanced chemical material solutions and a world-renowned leader in rubber and plastics machinery, Elkem in Norway and KraussMaffei in Germany jointly exhibited under the theme “Silicones Leap Forward, Quality Leads the Future.” With integrated “materials + equipment + products” solutions, the two companies showcased the synergistic innovation of KraussMaffei’s plastics processing technologies and Elkem’s advanced silicone materials, jointly extending the boundaries of new materials and new processes.

Highlight 1: “Silicones Leap Forward”

At the forefront of embodied AI, Elkem leveraged its customized, highly reliable silicone solutions to provide key materials across application scenarios. These materials include BLUESIL™ ESA 7760 thermal gels, ESA 6760 potting compounds, and CAF™ ET 6930 thermal flame-retardant sealants, which deliver core component protection and thermal management, while the BLUESIL™ ESA 7790 encapsulant series ensures stable operation of high-performance computing chips. Elkem is also pushing the frontiers of technology by developing immersive cooling systems for AI computing centers.

In the field of healthcare, Elkem introduced SILBIONE™ RTV 4140, the world’s first high-performance specialty silicone rubber material designed for in-vitro diagnostics. It also launched SILBIONE™ BLD 8010, a high-performance silicone elastomer material driving innovation in liquid bandage technology.

Highlight 2: “Quality Leads the Future”

Under the theme “Quality Leads the Future,” KraussMaffei presented four exhibition sections to showcase its innovations in a systematic manner. The “Engineering Inspires Mobility” section focused on automotive industry transformation, highlighting leading processes such as ColorForm and FiberForm, which offer new ideas for automotive component design. The “Innovation Sparks Future” section showcased solutions for precision injection molding of eVTOL rotors and lightweight joints for embodied AI robots. The “Components Shape Cities” section showcased advanced high-end pipe extrusion technologies that ensure low-noise performance in sound-sensitive environments. The “Craft Meets Living” section featured reaction molding-driven innovations—from prefabricated ceramic tiles to precision medical components and premium home products—showcasing how advanced craftsmanship brings technological sophistication to everyday life.

Prometeon

As a global leading industrial tyre manufacturer, Prometeon officially introduced its Chinese brand name, “百得安(Bai De An),” at this year’s CIIE. This move highlights the company’s strong confidence in and commitment to the Chinese market.

Highlight 1: FR88EVO and AP88EVO series

Under the theme “Carrying the Future,” Prometeon showcased innovations for the light-duty truck segment. The FR88EVO and AP88EVO series are designed to meet the demand for light-duty trucks, leading the market upgrade with high load capacity and low failure rates.

Highlight 2: FH88EVO and ST88EVO series

For the heavy-duty truck segment, Prometeon presented the FH88EVO and ST88EVO series. Built for long-haul transport, the tyres excel in safety, fuel efficiency, and eccentric wear resistance, supporting China’s logistics industry in achieving higher efficiency and lower carbon emissions.

Highlight 3: AT02 environmentally friendly agricultural tyre

For the Asian market, Prometeon launched the AT02 environmentally friendly agricultural tyre, designed specifically for work in fields. With high traction, self-cleaning capability, and long-lasting durability, the AT02 is expected to perform strongly in the Chinese market.
